Workshops

Would you like to join us to explore the world of Mizuhiki while you’re in Japan?

Mizuhiki is a long thin cord, known as a Japanese traditional decoration of gifts which origin was noted in 7th centry. As there is such a variety of colors and materials of Mizuhiki, the use of it has been expanded not only for wrappings but also fashion / interior accessories nowadays.

We offer workshops that can provide you with the excitement of selecting the Mizuhiki that resonates with you through the reflection of your own feelings and artistic sence, and the opportunity to focus on making a small item in about 60 – 90 minutes (depends on your skills or size of the item).

Workshops are usually held at my home, located within a minute walk from Honancho station, which is only a 12-minute travel from Shinjuku, and a 30-minute travel from Tokyo station by the Marunouchi subway line. A cozy rental room nearby is also available for a large group. Please let us know your schedule, and we can offer the best time and what to make to optimize your limited stay in Japan.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
